iPhone 17 Slim Could Arrive Next Year, Will Replace This Model

Apple will unveil the Apple iPhone 16 lineup this year, but rumours surrounding the Apple iPhone 17 series are already swirling. Next year’s iPhone 16 lineup could bring plenty of changes, including a fresh design, upgrades to FaceID, and a new variant. The Cupertino giant could also introduce a new Apple iPhone 17 Slim and bring upgrades in terms of performance. Here is everything you need to know about the iPhone 17 lineup.

iPhone 17 Series To Debut With Smaller Dynamic Island

According to a report by 9to5Mac, the upcoming iPhone 17 line will consist of four phones: the Apple iPhone 17, the Apple iPhone 17 Slim, the Apple iPhone 17 Pro, and the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The Apple iPhone 17 Slim will replace the Plus model in the lineup with a slimmer and lighter design. Furthermore, the iPhone 17 will boast a 6.1-inch screen while the iPhone 17 Slim will offer a 6.6-inch screen.

Similarly, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will reportedly arrive with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively. The iPhone 17, 17 Slim and Pro will feature a new aluminium design with added complexity.

Interestingly, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will use a new titanium build with a narrower Dynamic Island that will take less space. Apple will use a smaller FaceID sensor with “metalens” technology to reduce its size.

The rest of the iPhone 17 lineup will boast the same design as the current iPhones. Furthermore, when it comes to performance, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will rely on the A19 Pro chipset paired with 12GB of RAM.

On the other hand, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim will use the A18 or A19 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. This is a huge upgrade over 6GB and 8GB of RAM found on the iPhone 15, 15 Plus and the iPhone 17 Pro.
