MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ Arrives With Powerful AI Features

MediaTek has finally unveiled its new flagship chipset, the Dimensity 9300+, with new AI features. The new chipset is an upgrade over the Dimensity 9300 from last year, which supports new LLM (large language learning models) and on-device processing. Dimensity 9300+ Launched With AI Features

The MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ supports many new LLM models, such as Google’s Gemini Nano and Meta Llama 2 and 3. Furthermore, MediaTek claims a 10 per cent performance boost, resulting in faster AI processing with the new API 790 AI engine.

The Dimensity 9300+ can run multiple AI models, such as Al Yi-Nano, Alibaba Cloud Owen LLM, Baichuan Al, ERNIE-35-SE, Google Gemini Nano, Meta Llama 2, and Llama 3. It also supports AI models with 13 billion parameters and can handle 33 billion parameters and run LLM quickly.

The Dimensity 9300+ also offers NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration, which can run seven billion parameters at 22 tokens per second, which is twice the rate of the competition.

9300 Plus Specifications

The MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ is based on a 4nm architecture with one Cortex X4 core at 3.4GHz, three Cortex X4 performance cores at 2.85GHz, and four Cortex efficiency A720 cores at 2GHz. This is an upgrade over the Cortex-X4’s 3.25GHz clock speed.

You also get a 12-core ARM Immortal G720 GPU with 2nd-generation hardware ray tracing support, which promises to handle games at 60FPS with console-grade global illumination. In addition, there is support for LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

Features like MediaTek Adaptive Gaming Technology (MAGT) extend battery life and maintain temperatures while gaming. Hyperengine’s new Network Observation System (NOS) gives you better Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity.

For ISP, you get the Imagiq 990 with 18-bit RAW processing and built-in AI Semantic Analysis Video Engine. The MiraVision 990 also offers AI depth technologies for better visual processing.

The Dimensity 9300+ features a 5G R16 modem with support for sub 6GHz networks with downlink speeds of 7 Gbps. The first phones to debut with the chipset will be available later this month with models like the Vivo X100s, Vivo X100s Pro and the iQOO Neo 9s Pro.
