The rumours about the Honor Note 10 look to be getting stronger by the day. The phablet series by Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has been in production for the last 7 years now. However, last year was devoid of any Honor Note series launch, which had led many to speculate that Honor might be on the verge of closing down the lineup.
Honor’s CEO has made it official that the series is not going anywhere. It will have a new phone called the Honor Note 10 coming very soon this year. To recall, the last Note phone from the company was the Honor Note 8 and it would seem that Honor is skipping on the 9th iteration, much like our friends from Cupertino.
As a matter of fact, Honor has even started giving out launch invites for the smartphone making the news solid. However, the launch invite is devoid of any information as to when the smartphone may launch in China. It does mention that the Honor Note 10 will be unveiled in Beijing but that was about it.
Talking about specs, we can be sure that the Honor Note 10 will be packing in the best specs possible on an Android phone from Huawei. Many have even speculated that the phone will debut Huawei’s in-house SoC’s next generation, the HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset. That would be quite strange for a company like Huawei to make its flagship chipset debut on a smartphone that comes under its sub-brand.
Even so, it would seem that Huawei has launched plenty of smartphones with the same Kirin 970 chipset and it would seem that the time for change has come. Apart from the rumoured 980 chipsets, the phone will have at least 6 GB of RAM along with 128 GB of onboard storage.
We are also expected to see a notch on the smartphone as the leaked listing of the smartphone shows a display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The display in question will most likely be QHD+ while at the back we are expected to see a dual-camera system and a fingerprint reader as well.
Recent benchmarks surfacing of the phone show it has a score of 6,818 in the multi-score benchmark and 1,901 in the single-core. The benchmark also shows that the device runs on an Android 8.1. We can be quite sure from the benchmarks that this will be the fastest Note smartphone from Honor. However, will it still be able to give competition to the OnePlus 6 is yet to be seen.
Quite recently Honor also announced the Honor 10 smartphone in India. The phone has been in the news due to its capacitive fingerprint reader which sits below the glass and can be used as navigation tool. Will you be buying? Remember to sell your current device on Cashify before you upgrade!
