Asus Going All Guns Blazing At CES 2019

Asus has been leading the computer hardware sector for a long time. The Taiwanese giant’s products are regarded to be one of the best in the industry thanks to the gamer-ish vibe that the various lineups of Asus have. At CES 2019, Asus has made quite a few product launches at CES this year and here are the main ones.

The ROG Mothership gaming laptop is perhaps the most eye catching one of all the launches Asus made. This monster of a laptop comes with a detachable display to give you a full PC like experience. As a matter of fact, it looks like Asus took a page out Microsoft’s book and copied the design of the Surface Pro 6.

The detachable keypad can be folded and it connects to the desktop using Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth. There three different angles on which the display can sit according to your preference. The screen has a refresh rate of 144 Hz and it is an AMOLED panel which is quite surprising to see on such a high refresh rate display. The laptop is packed to the brim with latest Intel i7 9th chipset and the NVIDIA RTX2080 ti GPU for super fast graphics.

Zephyrus Max-Q

Asus has also introduced the new Zephyrus Max-Q slim laptop line which is one of the first laptops to incorporate the new RTX graphics from NVIDIA for a better visual experience. The laptops in the Zephyrus lineup come with the Turing based model to their range with the ROG Matrix RTX 2080 Ti graphics card.

The RTX 2080 Ti graphics card comes with a new Infinity Loop cooling hybrid cooling solution.

The Asus Strix XG438Q was also announced and is currently the world’s biggest and fastest 4K/FreeSync/HDR monitor. The display happens to be 43-inches in size and offers a 3840×2160 resolution with a massive 120 Hz refresh rate. Apart from that the screen is DisplayHDR 600 compliant.

And More

Two more monitors were also announced alongside the Strix XG438Q all which have a custom backlight design, which ASUS says will ensure better HDR performance on PC. All these monitors are expected to start shipping by the end of January.

Asus has been quite actively putting in the latest NVIDIA GPU using the Max Q design to keep the form factor as sleek as possible. We are sure to see more laptops using the same design standard to provide better graphics. Asus may also release a lot other peripheral hardware as well this year.
