Most Android devices don’t have the stock ability to hide apps, so no matter what you’re looking to do, you’ll probably have to resort to third-party apps if you need to do this. Here are some basics on how to hide some apps in general.
Some of the stock launchers offer the app hiding functionality right out of the box. Most Samsung users may have the ability to hide apps without relying on third party apps. So if your launcher doesn’t offer native support in app hiding, try Nova Launcher. It’s an excellent launcher and it’s speciality is that it gives you the ability to conceal apps with a simple and intuitive option.
To do this – Install Nova Launcher and then open the app drawer. Navigate to Nova Settings, head to App & widget drawers and press Hide Apps. You can then select the apps you want to hide, and they won’t show up on your app tray anymore.
File Hide Expert
This is a free app which help you hide and unhide any file on your phone with ease. To get the app up and running, get it from the Play Store. When you open the app, you’ll receive a message indicating that the hidden file list is empty. Update the list with the apps you want to conceal.
A Stock Fix
It’s easy to hide whole folders without using third party apps. This will prevent photos from getting up in galleries, audio files from showing up in players, and apps from showing up to other people. What you need to do is open the phone in your computer and start renaming the folder in such a way that Android ignores it.
