Honor’s signature budget smartphone – the Honor 7X – is giving quite the competition to the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro smartphones. The phone’s dual camera system on the back and a good camera on the front, combined with a great design has made it an instant favourite amongst the buyers.
Owing to the dual-camera, the phone is also able to take wonderful bokeh photos. Now Huawei, which is Honor’s parent company, has said that it will be bringing in a host of different software upgrades to make use of the front camera system of the Honor 7X.
Some updates will be targeting the Face beauty mode and better portrait photos. However, in a major announcement in the last week of February, Honor announced the official rollout of Face Unlock update for its Honor 7X smartphone.
If we look back, the Face Unlock feature was initially rolled out by Honor for the flagship device Honor View 10. Along with that, there have been further improvements to the feature in January. The Honor 9 Lite had also received the feature in the starting of February which makes the Honor 7X the third smartphone in its lineup to receive the feature.
The Face Unlock feature will be available via HOTA (Huawei’s over the air update), and will be completed by mid-March 2018, the company said in a statement.
