How to enable and setup Google now feed on your device

Google Now comes with a ton features to help you in your day-to-day life, so you should probably set it up if you haven’t already. To begin with, open your app drawer and launch the “Google” app, then press the “Get Started” button which should be near the bottom-right corner of your screen.

Enable Google Services

The next thing you should do is make sure that all of the powerful options it has are fully enabled.

To do this go to the Google app, open the side navigation menu by swiping inward from the left edge of your screen. Then choose the “Settings” option, and pick the “Accounts & privacy” entry.

Next on the “Google activity controls”, you’ll see a series of options for your Google account representing bits of data that the Google Now service can rely on from your day-to-day use.

To get the most out of Google Now, fill out each of these entries individually, then make sure the service is turned on by tapping the toggle switch present at the top of that screen.

Tell Google Now About Things You’re Interested In

Google Now will be able to use all these services you just opted into and learn more about you and giving out more meaningful suggestions than ever. However, you can also jump-start this process by quite a bit if you tell Google Now more about yourself right now.

For doing that, open the side navigation menu in the Google app again, then press the “Customize” option. From here, you can answer some of the brief questions like your main mode of transportation, and also you can set your Home and Work addresses which Google Now will keep in mind for directions later on.
