Huawei did not unveil much at this year’s MWC, except for an amazing laptop and a couple of tablets. The company is well known for its Leica branded devices such as the Huawei Mate 10 Pro and P10 smartphones. However, it has not sold any device in India and always relies on its sub-brand – Honor – to do the sales.
However, this year might be different as it’s possible that Huawei may be launching the P20 smartphone in India as well. Recent reports have indicated that the device will indeed have a dual-camera system on the back and will be running on the latest HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC made in-house by Huawei.
Another report has shed light on the fact that the phone might have a mammoth 4,000 mAh battery alongside an always on-screen feature. The always on display was last seen on the Google Pixel 2 smartphone and also on the last flagship called the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. There are also rumours of an under-the-display fingerprint reader after it was confirmed that the P20 will be coming with the pOLED display.
There have also been speculations that the phone will possess an iPhone X-like notch on the front which will most likely be some kind of face mapping technology similar to the flagship Apple device. Obviously, we will know in full detail about the device today, after the device is officially unveiled. If you’re planning to get your hands on one though – remember to sell your old smartphone on Cashify to make it a sweeter deal!
