The Lenovo K8 is going to be launched pretty soon. The phone is going on sale exclusively on Amazon on August 9.
It has been confirmed by the company that they will be settling for the stock Android experience on the phone. It will be featuring Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
The official website clearly points out that they intend for photography and performance being the key highlight of the phone. Those interested in the Lenovo K8 Note can also opt to get notifications about the smartphone from Amazon by signing up on the page.
For those who are unaware, back when Lenovo started selling Android phones in 2013, they had the Vibe Pure UI pre-installed. The company’s latest decision to move to stock Android is once again driven by consumer demand.
Running stock Android will mean that the Lenovo K8 Note users can be assured of getting the Android O update, the company said, when it’s made available by Google.
Much like Moto phones, the Lenovo phones will come with some software enhancements like the addition of Dolby Atmos tech which has been part of Lenovo phones for some years now, and the TheaterMax.
A Geekbench listing has shed some light on the specifications of the K8 which is looking to feature MediaTek Helio X20 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone could also come with a dual camera setup at the rear which could be the reasoning behind the K8 Note name.
