Lenovo launched its K8 Plus phone in India at an event in New Delhi on September 6. The phone has been confirmed to be a Flipkart exclusive by the company as opposed to the recently released K8 Note which was sold only on Amazon.
The hashtag #KraveForMore has been extensively used for marketing the phone on social media platforms. It is being assumed that the phone will be running stock Android – Android Nougat 7.1.1 to be precise, rather than Lenovo’s Vibe UI.
The K8 Plus has been on the forefront of several leaks and is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD LCD display and use an Octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 processor. The phone seems to have 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage options which may later be expanded by using an external SD card.
The optics department of the phone houses a dual rear camera setup of unknown resolution at the current moment and an 8 MP selfie camera as well.
A teaser image has suggested that the K8 Plus will have a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and in the form of connectivity options, the phone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G VoLTE connectivity alongside dual-SIM support. The smartphone is expected to arrive in colors of black and have a decently large 4000mAh battery.

Staging a comeback?
Lenovo has lost its position to Xiaomi and other Chinese smartphone makers in the budget space, but with new K series, the company is trying to regain the lost share. Perhaps the K8 will come to the rescue? What do you think?
