5G is a trend that most smartphone-makers are now hopping on to, or are at least planning to incorporate into their devices by the end of the year. Renowned smartphone maker LG is not one to be left behind in this scene. As MWC 2019 is just around the corner, it is safe to assume that a lot of 5G smartphones are going to be showcased soon. LG has announced that it will use MWC as a platform to reveal its 5G-enabled handset.
This will be the ultimate flagship by LG this year and naturally, it will be coming with the highest end specs the company has to offer. For instance, this unnamed LG phone will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset and will also house a massive 4,000 mAh battery as well.
Reports state that the LG device will also have some kind of vapour cooling technology inbuilt so that it is efficient for gaming purposes. In the camera department, LG could include a minimum of three lenses at the back of the device while on the front, there could be a dual-camera setup, which could aid to generate the depth effect.
LG has generated multiple comparisons of the phone with the LG V40 ThinQ, which seems to point that this new phone may be an updated version of the phone. Since the V40 ThinQ has been announced only recently, we expect this phone to belong to a completely new lineup of smartphones. There isn’t a lot more information regarding the 5G LG phone so far, but one aspect sure to hold true is that its usage of 5G networks will be hindered if the proper equipment is not in place for a roll-out.

In the US, this 5G phone from LG is expected to be sold in a partnership with Sprint. In Europe, LG will collaborate with several other carriers to make its 5G smartphone as widely available as possible. Of course, LG will not be the only company launching a 5G smartphone. Samsung and Huawei are also slated for some kind of 5G-enabled smartphone announcement. Xiaomi could also hop onto the train along with Nokia. We will just have to wait and see how many 5G phones we are going to see this year.
