After the famous Nexus & G-series phones, LG has finally turned up with something for the mass. At least that’s what the new Q6 line of phones is intended to provide; premium experience at a mediocre expense.
According to reports from the Indian Express, LG’s Q6, Q6+, and Q6a are offering the best of LG G series range phones at a very compelling price.
The LG G6, for instance, carries a unique 18:9 aspect ratio on its 5.5-inch curved screen. This gives users a big screen experience while still allowing for single hand operation, much like the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus.
Noticeably all the three variants of the Q6 are similar in design and will be made available in Astro Black and Ice Platinum colors. Each model will feature Aluminum metallic frames, but none will have fingerprint sensors. Perhaps that’s a budget cutting move to strike the optimum balance.
Catching up with the competition, LG too has tried its hands with minimalist bezel designs. And it turned to be quite a fascinating experiment with LG’s full HD, 2160 x 1080, 442 ppi screen display.
In terms of performance and hardware, the Q6 will have a Snapdragon 435 alongside 4 GB of RAM, which shall be coupled with 64 GB storage for the Q6 Plus. The Q6 and Q6a will be having 3 GB RAM/32 GB ROM and 2 GB RAM/ 16 GB ROM respectively.
As for the camera, all the three phones are set to feature 13 MP rear camera, accompanied with a 5 MP 1000-degree wide-angle camera, enhanced with LG’s Face Recognition feature.
LG Q6 and its variants will go on sale in key markets in Asia starting next month. This will be followed by availability in Europe, Latin America, and North America. Fancy yourself one of those? Sell your current device in less than 48 hours on Cashify and make it a smart purchase.
