South Korean electronics conglomerate LG has launched the Q series smartphones in India and the first phone will be the LG Q6. The price of the smartphone is Rs 14,990, and it is an Amazon exclusive.
Mr. Noor Patel, Director of Category Management at Amazon India commented on their partnership with LG by saying “In line with our vision of constantly expanding selection and enhancing choices for customers, we are delighted to be offered exclusive access to the first phone under LG’s much awaited ‘Q series’, the LG Q6. Smartphones are one of the fastest growing product lines and have repeatedly been one of the top selling categories on Amazon.in.”
Design & Specs
Design wise the Q6 has a metallic frame with 5.5inch full vision display along the lines of the G V30. The aspect ratio has been determined at of 18:9 and a pixel density of 442. The phone has an 8.1 mm thickness and weighs approximately 149 gms with its aluminum alloy frame.
The phone features face recognition technology and finger print sensing for unlocking the phone which adds an extra layer of security around the phone. Software side, the Q6 will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. This is backed up by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 435 processor, including 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage expandable via micro-SD card storage.
In terms of optics the device packs in a 13 MP rear camera sensor. The front shooter has a wide-angle 5 MP camera module. There is support for Bluetooth v4.2, 4G, USB Type-B 2.0 port and FM Radio for connectivity. Astro Black, Ice Platinum, and Terra Gold are the colors of the phone.
