Xiaomi has been into smartphone manufacturing business for more than 5 years now and they have never sacrificed their quality products. Moreover, good smartphones should come with great softwares too, agree? We have noticed that they try to give a high level of customization with every release with the blend of their own MIUI which is a custom designed skin above Android OS.
Earlier this week, an image surfaced in Weibo which shows the beta testing of upcoming MIUI 9, which is their custom version of Android built upon Android 7.0 Nougat, which is under testing phase. We know that Xiaomi unveils their MIUI in their annual conference which happens somewhere in August every year. But most importantly, this time Xiaomi has decided not to push the update to the high-end devices first, rather they have selected few old devices from 2015 and they are testing the ROM on it. Might be they will receive the update at the first place. The devices on which the update is being tested are Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 4c, Mi 4s and Mi Note. This is one good practice of Xiaomi that it keeps updating even the low-end device with the latest ROM to give the flavor and security updates to each and every user owing a Xiaomi smartphone.
Though there is no word on the date of its roll out but we can expect it to reach users by end of the next year definitely to the entire Xiaomi niche. We’re so excited to see the new changes, features like Split Screen and many other tweaks in their latest ROM. The MIUI 9 will be based on the latest Android Nougat 7.0. We have our high hopes from Xiaomi since they have amazed us with MIUI 7 and MIUI 8 respectively. We will bring up more related news in near future, till then keep reading our blogs and keep Cashifying your old gadgets.
