Google surprised everyone this year by releasing not one, but two powerful Nexus smartphones. LG released Nexus 5X whereas Nexus 6P was released by Huawei. These are the two new releases that will be taking the front lines for Google in the smartphone industry this year.
The reason for such a change in the strategy is to cover a larger audience. Google will be catering to the needs of both the feature hungry as well as the budget sensitive groups. Nexus 5X by LG is more budget-friendly among the two.
Nexus 5X features a Snapdragon 808 processor and a striking 5.2 Inch HD screen. On the other hand, Nexus 6P features one of the best specs along with a premium metallic design. One feature that is common in both the devices is a beautiful fingerprint sensor at the back.
The Nexus 5X
Built on the name and fame of a highly successful Nexus 5, both critically and commercially, LG took a step ahead in order to improve the device and make it more budget-friendly. The device features a dynamic 5.2-inch full HD display and a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor along with an ample 2GB of RAM.
Nexus 5X also flaunts a 12.1 MP primary camera with dual tone LED flash, a secondary cam of 5MP, a fingerprint scanner along with a connection port of USB-Type C. As far as Nexus 5X is concerned, Google is offering a cake with a cherry on it when it comes down to a budget-friendly smartphone.
The Nexus 6P
Nexus 6P is the flagship Nexus this year for the smartphone giant Huawei as it is the first ever Nexus device released by them. 6P features a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 1440×2560 and an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor.
Other than 3GB of RAM, 6P features a 12.1 MP primary camera which is similar to 5X and a striking 8MP secondary camera. Fingerprint scanner and a connection port of USB-Type C are included in 6P as well. Being the premium device of the two, 6P is meant for the spec-conscious people who prefer to make this beauty with brains worth the money.
After doing a lot of experiment in the premium as well as the budget market, Google has decided to give consumers, best of both the worlds keeping all pros and cons of technology in mind. However, the performance of both the devices is yet to be witnessed and observed once they go mainstream and age a bit. On the whole, Nexus 5X and 6P seem to be a promising pair from Google.
