The Nokia brand has seen a massive decline for quite a long time but it seems to have gained new life with the launch of the Nokia 8 smartphone which will be competing with the you of the market brands like Samsung and Apple.
The Nokia 8 has finally been unveiled by HMD global at an event on 16 August in London. The phone has been launched at a price of EUR 599, according to The Verge, which is approximately Rs 45,000 at the time of writing. It is rumoured that the phone will be hitting the Indian markets by October this year.
The phone will be featuring, after a very long time, Carl Zeiss optics. Carl Ceiss which was last seen in Nokia’s PureView smartphone ages ago. There are three cameras in total, the rear being a dual camera. All three use 13 MP sensors with f/2.0 lenses.
Nokia is also introducing a #Bothie photo mode. In this mode, you’ll use the front and rear cameras to take an image or video. Better yet, it looks like you can live stream in this mode.
The Nokia 8 has 4K streaming capabilities and employs Nokia OZO Audio for spatial 360-degree audio recording.
The phone has an aluminum unibody design housing a 5.3 inch, 2K, polarized display covered with Corning gorilla Glass 5. Nokia 8 will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and employs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage expandable to 256 GB via a micro-SD card.
