Almost every month, you can expect to see a lot of new smartphones being launched. The industry really has expanded, and there are so many brands out there, so it becomes essential, almost natural, to keep launching new smartphones frequently to stay in the competition. Here is a list of smartphones that are going to be announced in the month of October.
Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL
The Google Pixel 3 has been leaked quite blatantly in the past few months, almost to the point that there seems to be no real reason left to attend the official launch event anymore! The phone is expected to be announced in two variants at a launch event in New York on 9 October. If we believe all the rumours, then we will be seeing a notched display on the bigger Pixel 3 XL and the smaller Pixel 3 will have the same design as the Pixel 2. We are also expecting the Snapdragon 845 chipset and up to 6 GB of RAM. The price of the device is right now the real question.
This has to be the most anticipated phone from Apple this year and could be easily considered the most popular of the trio of smartphones launched this year. Due to some production issues, the device has still not gone on sale in anywhere in the world. However, Apple has announced that the phone will be available on sale starting from 26 October. The iPhone XR has all the same features as the iPhone XS except for the LCD display, single-lens camera and absence of 3D touch.
OnePlus has been quite active as of late in the promotion of its latest device which is the OnePlus 6T. Although there is no official confirmation as of yet, but it would seem that a 17 October launch is on the cards. The OnePlus 6T will be sporting a water drop-notch like the Oppo F9 Pro along with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Apart from that, the OnePlus 6T will be the exact same as OnePlus 6.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro
After having launched the Galaxy A7 in South Korea, rumour has it that Samsung might very soon be unveiling the quad-camera Galaxy A9 Pro smartphone. It will the very first smartphone to come with such a setup. There are many rumours that the Galaxy A9 Pro will also be making its way to India in the Diwali season. The official date for unveiling is October 11. In terms of specifications, we are sure to see the Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 4- 6 GB of RAM space. India will likely get the Exynos chipset variant.
