Xiaomi has come up with the Redmi 5A smartphone – which has been introduced in a Rose Gold edition for the first time outside of China. For Xiaomi, the Indian market is its second biggest after China. The phone has been up on Amazon since February 1.
Xiaomi had earlier launched the phone back in November last year for a price of Rs 4,999. However, it was just available in two colours and only with around 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage.
This new version is said to have a higher clocked processor and also 64 GB of RAM. The price of the device remains the same at Rs 4,999 making it one of the best phones in the budget segment.
Whats more, we can also say that most of the budget segment has already been captured by the Redmi 5A, which has been regarded as the breakthrough smartphone of the year in the above-mentioned segment.
As for the smartphone itself, the phone has a 5-inch screen which has 2.5 D curved glass and 1280 X 720 resolution. Under the hood, the phone has Snapdragon 420 SoC and 3 GB of RAM alongside 64 GB of storage as mentioned earlier.
In the camera department, we see that the phone has 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The phone has dual-SIM connectivity along with 3,000 mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 out of the box with the standard MIUI 9 skin from Xiaomi.
