Samsung had somewhat lost its way in the mid-range smartphone segment, but it has reinvigorated itself with the recent launch of the Galaxy M-series smartphones. Samsung still has a massive amount of following in India and its A-series has seen particularly good sales in recent times. The company has now decided to bring new additions to its lineup to give the customers more choice.
The Samsung Galaxy A50, Galaxy A30, and Galaxy A10 have been made available in India this week. The new Galaxy A-series models feature Super AMOLED display panels, and all of them pack multiple camera sensors and include huge 4,000mAh batteries.
Something that was quite surprising and refreshing to see at the same time was that the company also gave the devices Android Pie out-of-the-box, along with Samsung’s One UI on top. Samsung did not grace the M30 with this update as of yet.
Coming first to the Galaxy A50, we see that the device comes with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) with a water-drop notch what Samsung calls the Infinity-U display over a Super AMOLED panel. This enables the device to have a 91.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. Powering the device is an octa-core Exynos 9610 SoC, alongside 6GB and 4GB RAM options. Storage options include only 64 GB and 128 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy A30 happens to have a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display just like the A50. Under the hood, we see an octa-core Exynos 7904 SoC, paired with a single 4GB RAM option. There are three storage options – 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy A10, which is the cheapest variant of them all, has a 6.2-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) along with an Infinity-V Display panel, which is Samsung’s take on the DewDrop notch. The phone comes with an octa-core Exynos 7884 SoC, along with 2GB of RAM. The phone only comes with 32 GB inbuilt storage.
The Samsung Galaxy A50 is priced at Rs. 19,990 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage configuration. There is also a 6GB RAM and 64 GB storage model, which is priced at Rs. 22,990. In terms of colour options, the phone comes in Blue, White, and Black colour options. The Galaxy A30 has been given a price tag of Rs. 16,990, while the lower end Galaxy A10 has a price tag of Rs. 8,490. Both models come in Red, Blue, and Black colour options.
