Samsung has been unveiling some rather interesting products in its mid-range lineup lately – the recently unveiled Galaxy M-series than high-end smartphones. Last month, the company released the M10 and M20 smartphones in the budget segment. And today, it has launched a new smartphone in this series – called the Galaxy M30.
Galaxy M30 Specifications
The Galaxy M30 happens to be priced at Rs 14,990. The phone comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of inbuilt storage. Powering the device is an Exynos 7820 chipset that is custom made by Samsung. The phone features the same display as M10 and M20 feature.
A highlight feature of the device will certainly be the FHD+ AMOLED display, which you do not get to see at this price point. Since this is Samsung’s display, we are also quite sure that it will be the best in its class. The phone has a screen size of 6.4-inch which is what Samsung calls as the Infinity-U Display having a waterdrop-shaped notch and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
The Samsung Galaxy M30 comes in Gradation Black and Gradation Blue colour options which is the same for the M20 and M10 smartphones as well. In terms of software, it is a bit disappointing to see that the phone ships with Android 8.1.1 Oreo out of the box, but Samsung has committed to soon provide the Android 9.0 update for the device.
The optics of the device is handled by a triple rear-camera setup that has a 13MP RGB sensor with an f/1.8 aperture along with a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP ultra wide angle lens that has an astounding 123-degree Field-of-View (FOV). This is definitely the first of its kind smartphone under Rs 20,000. As a matter of fact, Samsung’s A7 is the only phone after the M30 to come with the triple camera setup at Rs 27,000.
Battery And Connectivity
Inside the phone, we see a 5,000mAh battery that happens to have support for fast charging with the support by the bundled 15W charger. The massive battery means that the phone will last for more than a day as per Samsung. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back.
Apart from that, the phone offers the usual connectivity options, such as dual-SIM 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 and a headphone jack. Thank god for that!
Sales of the device will begin on 7th March. Are you interested in getting your hands on this one? Sell your old phone for instant cash.
