The year 2017 has been exceptionally good for smartphones. We saw the Honor 8 Pro, the HTC U11, the Samsung S8, the OnePlus 5 and many other high end smartphones that have taken the world by storm.
Now, more than half the year past and we are closer to the unveiling of new smartphones that are ready to close off the year for the industry with a bang. Dual cameras are becoming more and more common in all the phones, along with face recognition features. Newer phones are expected to pack these features as standard additions.
Here’s list of the top phones one can expect to be launched in the coming year with over the top specifications and features.
HMD global has reinvented the Nokia smartphone after the Nokia 3, 5 and 6 were released as budget smartphones. Now, Nokia plans on challenging Samsung and Apple’s dominance by entering the high end smartphone range.
The Nokia 8 is rumoured to have a dual camera setup, and is supposed to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. Latest rumours suggest Nokia may launch the phone with Android O. But perhaps most importantly, this completes the return of Nokia to the mobile phone market.
Apple products are always the most anticipated products globally and it’s no surprise that the 10th anniversary iPhone is experiencing massive hype. Leaked renders and specifications have suggested that this year’s iPhone 8 will be without the iconic home button present in it since its inception in 2007. A Vertically aligned dual camera and perhaps no fingerprint sensor will be some of the main highlights of the phone. It looks like Apple will be employing the use of face recognition technology for security purposes. Also it looks like the phone will have the snappiest smartphone processor, the A11 chip, powering it. It surely is going to be a beast.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8
Perhaps the only thing that is as anticipated as the iPhone 8 is the successor of 2016’s biggest smartphone disaster, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The Note 7 was infamously known for blowing up and exploding into a ball of flames which forced Samsung to order a global recall of the phone causing billions in damages.
Let’s hope that the Note 8 does not follow in its footsteps. The phone has been also subjected to a lot of leaks and renders. It is rumored that the phone is going to be featuring the infinity display found in the Samsung Galaxy S8. It will also be the first Samsung phone to feature a dual camera system. Powered by the latest Snapdragon 835, the phone is tipped to be remarkably fast.
Xiaomi’s Jai Mani has already confirmed that Xiaomi will bring more Mi devices to India later this year. We are hopeful that the Mi Mix 2 will launch in India, but we don’t see anyone complaining if the Mi 5X is launched as well. The 5X may become the first dual-camera Xiaomi smartphone to come in India. It will also be having the latest Snapdragon 835 processor to boot.
Which one of these are you going to buy?
And more importantly, when will you sell your smartphone on Cashify to make it an irresistible deal for yourself?
