Crashlands

Crashlands was released in 2016 and is already among the best Android games ever made. It features an intergalactic trucker that ends up crash landed on an alien planet. The objective is to find out what’s going on and build yourself a base, collect various items (and craft them), and save the world from a nefarious plot.

Hearthstone

This game arrived on the scene in late 2014 and it’s been one of the most popular Android games ever since. The concept happens to be similar to games like Pokemon or Magic, which involves a virtual world where you collect cards, build decks, and duel other players using those decks.

Minecraft

Minecraft is quite a popular title all around the world, for people of all ages. However, for those who have never played it, Minecraft places you in a giant world where you mine and build stuff, and also beat up bad guys. Pretty much whatever a gamer wants.

Monument Valley 1 and 2

We’re including this series on this list due to the release of Monument Valley 2. Both 1 and 2 remain excellent titles that understandably went viral thanks to their breathtaking concepts. In fact, both have virtually identical gameplay mechanics and graphics.

Noodlecake Studios is reputed for being the most unique developers of Android games and nearly all their titles are vast and varied. Some of the more excellent titles from this studio include Framed 1 and 2 which are for puzzle games, Alto’s Adventure for infinite runners, realMyst and its sequel for more hardcore puzzle fans.

Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go just blasted into the mobile gaming scene in July 2016 and immediately became one of the best Android games ever. It is also an augmented reality game similar to one called Ingress where you walk around the real world and catch Pokemon, the battle for various Gyms, and also hit up Pokestops to restock on several items.

Rockstar Games could be said to have a great collection of games wherein some of them are ports and others are made-for-mobile titles. You have classic games like Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas for mobile which are an instant hit for the youth.

Rollercoaster Tycoon

Rollercoaster Tycoon is a port of the classic PC game from way back when. It could be said that this is one the few simulation games which aren’t riddled with the in-app purchases. However, for those who don’t know, this game will have you building amusement parks and then simulate them.
