Ever since Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus took centre stage in India, fans have gone bonkers for its products. The company’s latest flagship offers some of the most amazing specs at highly affordable prices, as compared to other flagship devices.
The last device coming from the OnePlus stable was the 5T, which had the world going completely gaga over its awesome features. Now it seems that the focus is shifting towards the next and upcoming flagship – called the OnePlus 6.
The phone has found itself amidst a lot of speculation. We recently got to know, through an exclusive interview with The Verge from OnePlus’ CEO, that the phone would be launching with an iPhone X-like notch.
It should come as no surprise that the world is moving towards the new notch design of smartphones to give the display more space on the smartphone. Asus did it, Vivo did it, Oppo is doing it and so is Huawei. The OnePlus 6 will also be following this same routine, albeit with little changes said Carl Pei, CEO of OnePlus, to The Verge.
The new spec-sheet leak on tech website TECH/size has suggested that the smartphone will most definitely feature a 6.28-inch Full HD AMOLED display which would have a 2280×1080 resolution.
OnePlus has always stressed that it is more focussed on photography in its smartphones. To that end, the spec sheet has revealed that the dual camera setup spotted in earlier leaks will have a 20 MP primary sensor and a 16 MP secondary sensor with a f/1.7 aperture on both the lenses.
It is interesting to see, however, that this is the same camera setup that has been seen on the company’s last flagship – the 5T. However, the 16 MP camera was the main sensor on the back in that device. The front camera has a 20 MP camera combining with f/1.7 aperture.
As per the spec-sheet, the OnePlus 6 will come with Snapdragon 845 SoC. The phone will be powered by 3,450 mAh battery and have 6 GB RAM. The smartphone will also be equipped with OnePlus’ proprietary dash charging. In terms of the software, it’ll run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and there might be a 256 GB internal storage variant of the device. Also, The company is rumoured to launch the smartphone earlier than its usual launch time of June.
