After producing a range of budget hi-tech phones, Xiaomi is certainly not a yet another Chinese good that can be typecasted under a mediocre product. In fact, it has quite successfully disrupted the mobile phone market and is in steep competition with the most popular brands.
But the latest announcement of its backup-smart-phone could force other manufacturers re-think their strategies.
Mi Max 2- The Big News!
During an event in Beijing, Xiaomi announced its upcoming phone Mi Max 2 which will supposedly be released in July 1st week in China. With an unprecedented battery capacity of 5300 mAh, the phone is claimed to last for two straight days.
Since the value is equivalent to that of power banks, Mi Max 2 will be capable of supporting a whopping 57 hours of call time. Video callers will instantly fall for this phone too, with up to 18 hours of video time.
Display & Cameras
Besides a promising backup, Mi Max 2 will come power packed with a host of other features. Counter to the general perception that larger backup demands a smaller display, the phone will continue to fashion a 6.4-inch screen size; followed by a 12MP rear and 5MP front camera.
Oh yeah, Xiaomi never compromises on camera, because come on we are living a selfie era. Although we are not sure if there will be a front flash to go with.
Mi Max 2 will be available in two variants of 64Gb and 128GB of internal storage, both governed by a 4GB RAM. Underneath, you will find an octa-core 2.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, paced up with Android 7.0 Nougat and Xiaomi’s signature MIUI 8.
Specs & Price
On the outside, the smartphone will come integrated with a rear fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, and a type-C USB port for seamless charging. The presence of IR blaster further enhances the user experience by turning the phone into a remote control for manipulating household devices.
If we sum the above specs of a broad display, extreme battery, with a (174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6)mm body and a light weight of 211 gms, it is almost certain that Mi Max 2 will not fail turn heads in the Indian market. And Xiaomi has very well tried to maintain its legacy of providing budget phones, with an expected price tag of INR 16000.
Release date & colors
Yes guys, the project is for real and will probably begin to sell in India during the same month as China, i.e. July 2017.
Mi Max 2 shall come in 5 color variants to please Xiaomi’s diverse customers with multiple choices to consider. These are Gold, Black, Silver, Grey, and White.
Does the phone sound too charming now? Perhaps July could be the best time to relieve your old phone from its duties and spare yourself the worries of repeated charging and roaming around with a power bank.
