Even though the Xiaomi Redmi 4 has just been launched in India, the specifications and images of its successor Redmi 5 seemed to have leaked already. This phone may release in the latter part of this year.
The leaked story says the Redmi 5 will be available in two variants – one with a 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal setup and another one with a 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, both expandable.
It’s expected to sport a full 5 inches HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels). It is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 8000- Rs 10,000 in India, and will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The 5 will also have a 16 Megapixel camera coupled with a dual tone LED flash. The front camera will be a 5-megapixel shooter, with phase detection autofocus.
The battery should be 3,680 mAh unit – which does look adequate. It will also support Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging.
Coming to the physical appearance of Redmi 5, there won’t be much of a difference in that area, with its overall look being quite similar to Redmi Note 4, at least based on the leaks.
Clearly, this is some good news for Xiaomi fans. The Redmi Note 5 is reported to come around in the market around October this year, and if the leak details are anything to buy, this phone is going to be a value-for-money deal.
