We will refurbish them for use as digital learning devices to help young people bridge the digital divide
Follow the steps below to donate your phone
You should donate a smartphone that is ideally in a working condition. Minor issues are fine - we will repair them to ensure the phone is ready for use. Please do not donate feature phones or any device that would not serve the purpose of online education.
Once you generate a pickup request, it will be assigned for collection to a pickup executive. Please ensure the device is submitted in a box so that it does not incur transit damage. We’ll require copies of your address and identity proof to validate the ownership of device. You may also be required to fill in a bonafide form.
The closure of schools has adversely affected the education of 247 million children in India. Only one in four students have access to digital learning and it is estimated that almost 10 million girls in secondary school are projected to dropout post COVID-19. To bridge this gap in learning and ensure that there is no lockdown in the educational journey of underprivileged children in India, Cashify is collaborating with Amazon and Goonj, to provide digital devices to children in need. Our goal is help children continue their education and learn with no hurdles. Amazon has already kick-started the giving campaign with a direct donation enabling access to over 10,000 devices in partnership with over 15 NGOs working directly with children in need. Your contribution will help strengthen this effort and scale the impact of this collaborative initiative.
We ensure your device data is erased completely before we hand it over to a new needy user. All phones collected will be tested and repaired to ensure they are in a working condition before handing over to Goonj – our nonprofit partner for distribution to underprivileged students.
