Google has created DigiKavach, a threat detection and warning system in the country that will identify patterns of financial crime.
The company has taken this step in response to recurring frauds in the country, particularly with the rise of digital payments in India.
DigiKavach will collect data on all financial scams and construct a theft model. The system will then detect key elements of the scam.
DigiKavach will also collaborate with the cyber crime department, along with the police and other officials, when it senses a potential scam.
