Step 1: Visit the official website, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
Step 2: Below the UIDIA symbol tap My Aadhaar.

Step 3: A drop-down menu will appear on the screen, under Aadhaar Services, click Verify Registered mobile or email id.

Step 4: Here, enter your Aadhaar number and either mobile number or email ID, whichever you wish to verify.
Step 5: Next, enter the captcha code and click on Send OTP.

IMPORTANT
Now, if the mobile number entered matches with the records of the UIDAI, then it will flash on the screen and vice a versa.

IMPORTANT
The process of updating the mobile number cannot be done online. To update it you have to visit your nearest Aadhaar Centre.
