Meta (formerly Facebook) is launching early access for its multimodal AI features on the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses.

The AI features allow the glasses to provide information about what Meta's AI assistant sees and hears through the device's camera and microphones.

Demonstrated features include translation of text and displaying image captions.

Users can interact with the Meta AI assistant throughout the day, asking questions about what they are looking at or their location.

The early access test for the AI features will be limited to a small number of people in the United States.
