Last December, Netflix confirmed plans for ending password sharing in 2023 Now in an interview with Bloomberg, Netflix’s two new CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters have given more details about it.

The CEOs emphasised their plans to add 15 to 20 million new subscribers, particularly by concentrating on markets like India. And it is true that password sharing hinders subscriber development.

Netflix has previously been testing password sharing in Latin American nations. If users use their Netflix accounts for longer than two weeks outside of their primary residence, they must pay an additional $3 cost.
