D5600 features a 3.2-inch vari-angle touchscreen LCD with 1.04 million dots, ideal for creative compositions and on-the-go adjustments, whereas the D3500 has a
3-inch fixed LCD without touch capability .
The D5600 includes built-in Wi-Fi alongside Bluetooth, enabling faster photo transfer and remote control, while the D3500 relies solely on Bluetooth, making connectivity slower and less versatile.
D5600 offers a 24.2MP APS-C sensor with a more advanced EXPEED 4 processor, while the D3500 also has a 24.2MP sensor but lacks the D5600's added focus flexibility.
Both cameras shoot Full HD video at 1080p 60fps; however, the D5600’s audio quality is superior with an external microphone input, a feature absent on the D3500.
In terms of battery life, the D3500 slightly outperforms the D5600, offering about 1,550 shots per charge versus the D5600’s 970 shots.
