POCO officially confirmed to launch the POCO C55 on February 21, 2023, in India. The handset has been subject to several leaks and rumours in the past. One such leak suggested that the smartphone will be a rebranded Xiaomi Redmi 12C, which debuted in China in January. However, the company has confirmed via a tweet that the handset will be launched as POCO C55 and will be available for purchase exclusively via Flipkart from 12 pm noon.

The handset will most likely be available in Shadow Black, Sea Blue, Mint Green, and Lavender colour options. Let us know more about the specifications and other important details regarding the upcoming handset in this article.

As per a previous report, the handset will debut as the rebranded version of Redmi 12C. If this information proves to be true then we can expect the handset to feature a 6.71-inch HD+ LCD with a 20:6:9 aspect ratio and 500 nits of peak brightness. Moreover, the handset will likely feature an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and a Mali-G52 GPU. Along with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 flash memory. The handset is available in three storage configurations – 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 128 GB. Additionally, the storage is further expandable up to 512GB via microSD card on all three internal storage variants.

In terms of optics, the smartphone features a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Given that the POCO C55 falls in the budget category, it could cost under Rs 10,000 in the country. However, we advise you to wait for official confirmation from the company.

Moreover, the company has also revealed the design of the Poco C55. The phone is seen with a huge camera island at the back that houses a rectangular hump with dual camera housings.
