Realme is expanding its Realme 12 series with another phone. Realme 12x 5G was launched in China on March 21st. However, Realme is currently gearing up to launch its Realme 12x 5G soon in India only. However, you will see some differences in specifications that are close to the upgrade of the Indian version. The Chinese version runs on Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 custom skin and features dual 50-megapixel rear cameras. It also has a 120Hz LCD screen and MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC inside, paired with 12GB RAM. Let’s know, what are the expected characteristics of the Indian variant.

Realme 12x 5G is launched in China but is expected to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor paired with Mali G57 GPU in Indian variants. It also has a 50MP primary camera and a secondary sensor, as well as an 8MP front camera for selfies. Additionally, it will come with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W SUPERVOOC charging in India. 45W charging speed allows the device to reach 50 per cent within 30 minutes and also supports reverse charging. It is also said to offer the fastest charging in this segment. Furthermore, it may feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 625 nits peak brightness, which is the same as the Chinese version.

Realme 12x 5G will be equipped with “dynamic buttons” that will act as shortcuts for various functions. This is the same as what Apple devices already have. Dynamic buttons allow you to enable camera modes such as DND mode and Airplane mode, as well as Street Photography and Google Smart Lens. You can also set the functions according to your preference.

Notably, this smartphone was launched in China for RMB 1,399, making it a low-priced or entry-level device, but in India, it costs about Rs 16,000. Additionally, the smartphone has also been spotted on the BIS certification website, suggesting an imminent launch in India. Looking at the Chinese version that has already been launched, the specifications of the device may be similar to the Indian version.
