Nothing Operating Software(OS) is an android based user interface software that is being developed by the team led by former OnePlus CEO Carl Pei. Nothing OS Features are not much disclosed, but we have credible insight into what can be expected from the Nothing OS. Carl Pie has recently stated in the ‘Nothing: The Truth’ event in London that the Nothing OS along with the Nothing 1 will be launched next year.

This upcoming Nothing OS will be the primary setup for the Nothing Phone 1, which is an upcoming phone by the new brand Nothing by former OnePlus Ceo Carl Pei. Nothing OS features will be based on Google Android and will act as an alternative to the OnePlus’s leading Oxygen OS.

The Nothing OS features will be pretty lightweight as it will be based on the Google Android stock edition, and the rumours are stating that there will be no sort of bloatware as well. We will also find a new font style on the Nothing OS, which will go by the name of ‘Dotmatrix.’

Nothing OS eligibility with the devices
As of now, the device which will be compatible with the Nothing OS will be the Nothing Phone 1. The Nothing Phone 1 will have a Snapdragon processor, and we feel it will be 8Gen1 based on the Snapdragon processor unless any new processor is launched beforehand. The Nothing Phone 1 is expected to be launched in the summer of 2022, and Carl Pei assures that software updates for Nothing OS will be rolled out for 3 years, and 4 years of security updates will be rolled out as well.

Nothing OS intends to provide a valuable user interface that can compete with the likes of Android 12 OS. As of now, this is all we have on the Nothing OS features. More information will flow once the launch of Nothing Phone 1 is done.

Nothing OS early release info
For now, Nothing OS features are not available for any current Android-based devices. Carl Pei intends to keep it this way for a while. But if you are an avid gadget fan and want to have first-hand early experience of the Nothing OS, then soon, a launcher may be available for a few specific devices on the Google Play Store in April itself.

Nothing OS features are said to be heavily influenced by morse code, oscillators, and digital watches. The User Interface will be lightweight to ensure a more immaculate and more straightforward User Interface experience.
