As is tradition, Google is ready to unveil its Google Pixel 6 series on October 19, 2021. The latest Pixel lineup includes the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Google had teased some key specs and features of the series earlier this year. Although there is still a lot we don’t know of. But recently, the company also released a promotional teaser of the series.
Google Pixel 6 series launch date confirmed
Google has announced a virtual event for October 19, 2021, at 1 PM ET/ 10 AM PT (10.30 PM IST). During the event, we will get to know the price and availability of the series. Moreover, we will also hear in detail about the Tensor 5G chip that will launch with the series. In addition, it is highly likely that Google might announce the Android 12 rollout for Pixel devices at the same event.

Coming to the Google Pixel 6 series specs, the vanilla model will come with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display. In addition, the display on the smartphone will feature a fast 90Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the display will also be a curved one with a punch-hole design.
On the other hand, the Pro variant will come with a larger 6.7-inch display. This will be a QHD+ AMOLED curved display with a faster 120Hz refresh rate. Further, both smartphones will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a similar notch design.

Moving to the optics, the vanilla model will come with a dual rear camera setup. On the other hand, the high-end Pro model will come with a triple rear camera setup. In addition, Google has also announced a couple of things about the sort of sensors we can expect to see in the series. The company has unveiled that the Pro model will come with an extra 4X telephoto sensor which will allow it to stand out in the series. According to leaks and reports, the smartphones will come with a 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 sensor in the setup.

From what we know so far, leaks report that the Google Pixel 6 series will launch in Europe for EUR 649 (roughly Rs. 56,220). Whereas, the Pro variant will start at EUR 899 (roughly Rs. 77,874). In terms of colour options, it may launch the vanilla model in Carbon, Fog and light Orange colours. Meanwhile, the Pro variant will come in Silver, Gold, and Carbon colours.
