Reliance Jio has introduced new affordable voice-only recharge plans following similar launches by Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi). The new Jio calling plans target users who mainly need unlimited voice calling and do not require daily mobile data. Starting at Rs 147, these prepaid packs offer multiple validity options, including 22 days, 28 days, 84 days and 336 days.
Jio has also added these recharge options under a separate TRAI-mandated packs section. Unlike regular prepaid plans, these packs focus primarily on voice calling, making them useful for users who rely on Wi-Fi or have a separate data connection.
Jio Calling Plans: Price, Validity And Benefits
Jio offers several affordable recharge options for users looking for different validity periods. Here is a look at the available plans:
- Rs 147 plan: Offers 22 days of validity with unlimited voice calling.
- Rs 177 plan: Provides 28 days of validity with unlimited calls.
- Rs 196 plan: Comes with 30 days of validity and unlimited voice calling.
- Rs 197 plan: Offers one calendar month of validity. For example, a recharge on November 5 will remain valid until December 5.

The Rs 147, Rs 177, Rs 196 and Rs 197 plans also include 300 SMS, according to the reported plan details.

Jio 84-Day And 336-Day Voice Only Plans
Jio has also introduced longer validity options for customers who do not want to recharge frequently.
The Rs 448 prepaid plan offers 84 days of validity. It includes unlimited voice calling to all networks and 1,000 SMS. The pack also provides access to selected Jio apps and OTT services.
For users looking for a long-term option, Jio offers a Rs 1,748 plan with 336 days of validity. It provides unlimited voice calling without mobile data benefits, along with 3,600 SMS and complimentary OTT subscriptions.
With these new plans, Jio offers more long-term validity choices than the initial voice only options introduced by Airtel and Vi. These plans could be useful for senior citizens, secondary SIM users and customers who primarily use their phones for calling.
