Xiaomi plans to launch its affordable smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi A3, soon in India. It will be the successor to the popular Xiaomi Redmi A2 and bring major upgrades over its predecessor.

A new leak has revealed the hands-on images and specifications of the Redmi A3 ahead of launch. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming smartphone.

A new report by GSMArena reveals the phone’s hands-on images and retail box. The back of the phone will have a circular camera setup similar to the Realme 12 Pro and the Lava Blaze 2 5G.

The box leak shows the Redmi A3 will have a larger display than its predecessor, measuring 6.71-inch with a 90Hz refresh rate, a first in this series. Moreover, the screen will have a teardrop notch with a 120Hz touch sampling rate and 400 nits of peak brightness.

Furthermore, the phone will be available with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage configuration, a step up from the 4GB+64GB on the Redmi A2+. The report claims it is likely to be the device’s highest-end variant.

Moreover, the MediaTek G36 processor, paired with up to 4GB of RAM, will likely power the phone. The Redmi A3 leak suggests it will run on Android 13 Go with 4GB virtual RAM support and a microSD card slot.

It will likely have a dual camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary and secondary AI camera. There will be an 8-megapixel selfie shooter on the front with f/2.2 aperture.

The phone will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging. In addition, it will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security.

The Redmi A3 leak reveals it will weigh around 192 grams and be available in Forest Green, Black and Blue. It is likely to cost around Rs.7,000 to Rs.8,000 and compete with phones like the Motorola Moto G24 Power and the Lava Yuva 3
