Redmi Note 11 Series Might Get Different Chipset in Global Markets

From the leaks and rumours surfacing online, it is almost sure that Redmi Note 11 series launch is just around the corner. From previous reports, it is expecting to launch under the moniker Xiaomi 11i (Note 11 Pro))and Xiaomi 11i (Note 11 Pro Plus) HyperCharge. Whereas, the Note 11 is expecting to launch in India as Note 11T 5G. Earlier this week, according to a report, the Note 11 series will be launched globally in Q1 2022.

Now, in a recent development, the series is tipping to launch in global markets with a refreshed design. Moreover, this recent leak also suggests that the Redmi Note 11 series may come with Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. Unlike the China variants which featured MediaTek Dimensity SoCs. To recall, the series launched in China last month. Let us look at what this new report hinting at:

Redmi Note 11 Series: Snapdragon or MediaTek?

According to a report from Thepixel, the Redmi Note 11 series will arrive in the Vietnam market in Q1 2022. Interestingly, the report says the Note 11 series will have a different design and specifications for the Vietnam market. Moreover, the devices may pack in Snapdragon chipsets instead of the MediaTek Dimensity series SoC. However, it is still unclear whether the Snapdragon chipset will be exclusive to the Vietnam market.

The report further says that the Redmi Note 11 models that will come with the Snapdragon SoCs in global markets including Vietnam will also be launched in China at a later stage, but with a different name.

At the time of launching the Redmi Note 11 series in China, Xiaomi claimed that its Redmi Note series surpassed 240 million units in sales globally. The Redmi Note series crossed the the 200-million mark in February.
