Vivo is preparing to release the new S-series smartphone. The S12 series is expected to launch in China later this month or early next year. The S12 and S12 Pro are expected to be the first two devices in the series. The Pro model’s design renders has already surfaced. The phone will have a large notch for the dual front camera configuration, according to the renders. As the launch date approaches, additional information about the smartphone has emerged online. The Vivo S12 Pro is set to go on sale in the coming weeks. Digital Chat Station, a reliable tipster, has leaked the device’s specifications ahead of the official launch event. As per the tipster (via GizmoChina), the smartphone will have an improved display, camera, and performance unit.

The smartphone is said to include a curved OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a notch cut out, starting with the screen. Two front camera sensors will be housed in the notch. The smartphone is said to come with a 50MP front camera and an 8MP ultrawide sensor, according to reports.

The Vivo S12 Pro will also have a 108MP primary camera sensor, according to the leaked specifications from DCS. An 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP secondary sensor will be included in the triple-camera layout on the back. The device will be powered by a Dimensity 1200 SoC under the hood. It will most likely offer 44W fast charging. At this time, the battery capacity is unknown. Finally, on top of Android, the phone is likely to run Vivo’s new OriginOS Ocean UI.

The phone is expected to cost CNY 3,000 when it launches in China (roughly Rs 35,300). With that pricing, the phone will compete with the Honor 60 series, which was just released in the country.
