    Vivo is preparing to launch its next flagship smartphone, and new hands-on information has revealed some major Vivo X500 specs ahead of the official announcement. A leaked image of the phone has reportedly confirmed details about its processor, memory, storage and battery.

    The Vivo X500 is expected to sit below the Pro models in the upcoming lineup, but it could still offer powerful hardware and an impressive camera setup. Vivo has already confirmed some camera details, while the latest leak reveals more information about what will power the phone.

    Vivo X500 Specs Revealed In New Leak

    Vivo X500 will give competiton to flagships

    According to the leaked hands on image, the Vivo X500 will use a new MediaTek Dimensity 9600M chipset. This is reportedly the first time the processor has appeared in an actual Vivo device.

    Key Vivo X500 specs revealed so far include:

    • Processor: Dimensity 9600M chipset with an 8 core CPU clocked at up to 4.21GHz
    • Storage: 12GB RAM in the base configuration, with 512GB internal storage
    • Up to 24GB virtual RAM expansion
    • Up to 50GB additional compressed storage
    • Battery: 7,500mAh battery

    The Dimensity 9600M is believed to be based on the Dimensity 9500 platform. The exact performance and positioning of the new chip will become clearer after Vivo officially launches the phone.

    The large 7,500mAh battery also stands out. If confirmed, it could give the standard X500 strong battery life despite its flagship hardware.

    Vivo X500 Camera Details Also Look Impressive

    Vivo has already confirmed several camera details for the X500. The phone will feature a Sony LYTIA 828 main sensor with a 1/1.28 inch size. Vivo says this is the largest main camera sensor it has used on a standard X series phone.

    The main camera will also support Zeiss gimbal level stabilisation with a CIPA 5.5 rating.

    The telephoto camera could be another highlight. The phone is expected to use the Sony LYTIA 610 sensor, which also appears in the X500 Pro's telephoto system. It can reportedly record 4K video at 120fps.

    Vivo may also offer a dedicated teleconverter accessory for the phone. Image processing will reportedly be handled by the company's Blueprint V3+ imaging chip.

    Vivo will officially unveil the X500 series on September 21 at 7 PM. The company is expected to reveal the phone's price and availability during the launch event.
