Amazon and Flipkart have both confirmed their Independence Day sale dates for 2026. Amazon Great Freedom Sale opens on August 7, carrying the tagline “Big Savings for Everyone.” Flipkart Freedom Sale, branded this year as a “Carnival of Savings,” follows a day later on August 8.
Freedom Sale Dates And Early Access
Flipkart Plus members, Black members, and Flipkart Credit Card holders get 24-hour early access starting August 7, a day ahead of the general public. Amazon Prime subscribers get a similar head start, with some reports pointing to access opening 12 to 24 hours before the August 7 public launch.

Bank Offers Confirmed
On Amazon, HDFC Bank credit card holders get a 10% instant discount, which also applies to EasyEMI transactions. Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card users get unlimited cashback, reported at 5%. Amazon has also lined up Top 100 Deals, Blockbuster Deals, Trending Deals, and limited-time 8 PM deals, alongside exchange offers and no-cost EMI on select products.
On Flipkart, SBI credit card holders get a flat 10% instant discount, extending to eligible EMI transactions. Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card users get 5% cashback. Flipkart has also confirmed exchange bonuses and additional EMI savings as part of the event.
Expected Deals And Popular Products
Early teasers point to strong discounts on the Samsung Galaxy S25, Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, along with several realme phones. Flipkart has separately teased deals on the Apple iPhone 17, Galaxy S25 series, and the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ is also expected to see a price cut.
