Battlegrounds Mobile India has finally received its much anticipated 1.7 update. The BGMI 1.7 update is now available to download for both Android and iOS devices. The brand new update sees BGMI joining hands with League of Legends Netflix show called Arcane.
Yes, we are getting an Arcane based update this time. We are talking about League of Legends and hence, the ‘Mirror World’ HAS to come right in. The update will be offering a Mirror World themed game mode as well. This whole new world is for players to explore and get their hands on exciting in-game rewards.

BGMI 1.7 Update: How to Download?
As mentioned before, the update is out for both Android and iOS devices. Android users can head over to the Google Play Store to download the new update whereas, iOS users can navigate to the App Store. Just download and install the new update. In game, there will be certain Mirror World updates on maps that you have to download. Once done, you are all ready to explore the Mirror World in the new BGMI 1.7 update!
BGMI x Arcane: What’s New?
Mirror World
The BGMI 1.7 update will allow players to become one of the following characters in the brand new Mirror World theme mode:
- Jinx
- Jayce
- Vi, and
- Caitlyn
These are League of Legends and Arcane characters which players can transform into upon entering the Mirror World. Moreover, each of these characters have their very own unique ability. The Mirror World has monsters upon killing which, players get Hextech Crystals. Players can then exchange these shards to get exciting in-game battle items.

Additionally, there are Mirror World events as well. Participating in these events will allow players to get their hands on Arcane characters, emotes and other exciting in-game rewards. The new Recall event will allow you to play with up to eight friends and get Recall tokens. These tokens can then be exchanged for in-game rewards like the SCAR-L Malachite permanent weapon skin and more.
BGMI 1.7 Update Gameplay Changes
Later on this month, we will get to see the Classic mode in the game get new features. These are the Piggyback and Weapon balance changes. Piggyback will basically allow players to pick up their downed teammates or enemies. However, it will not allow them to carry out other actions like riding a vehicle, shooting and the like. Moreover, their movement speed will decrease significantly as well, to keep things grounded to reality.
On top of this, we will also get a new grenade indicator. This new feature will show players the exact location of a grenade. In terms of balance changes, the updated weapon balance will make changes to the following guns:
- SLR
- SKS
- Mini14
- VSS, and
- DP28
