Thin smartphones are making a comeback. Samsung led the charge last year with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. Apple is set to unveil the Apple iPhone 17 Air next week. And now Tecno is joining the race with a slim model of its own, the Tecno Pova Slim 5G. The company hasn’t confirmed exact measurements yet, but back at MWC, it showcased a concept called the Spark Slim that came in at just 5.75mm thick. So, here is what the leaks reveal about the Tecno Pova Slim 5G.
Tecno Pova Slim 5G Leaks: What To Expect?

As per the leaks, the Pova Slim bears a strong resemblance to Tecno’s earlier prototype, suggesting the company may be bringing that concept to market under a new name. Still, its claim to thinness might be short-lived, with the iPhone 17 Air rumored to measure just 5.5mm.

On the software side, the phone will support AI features like Circle to Search as well as Tecno’s own Ella AI assistant, which can understand Indian languages. Tecno also says the device will be capable of placing calls without a cellular network, though it will still offer full 5G connectivity with carrier aggregation.
To add some visual flair, Tecno has built in a “dynamic mood light” around the rear cameras—LEDs that can glow on command. And despite its ultra-slim profile, the Pova Slim 5G may house a hefty 5,000mAh battery.
When Is The Launch?
After creating a hype of being the slimmest smartphone in the world, customers are eagerly waiting for its launch. According to leaks and reports, the Tecno Pova Slim 5G is set to launch on September 4, 2025, as per the leaks. So, stay tuned.
