The Lenovo ThinkPad series is one of the longest running and most successful series of laptops till date. This lineup got even wider with two new additions now – the Lenovo ThinkPad E15 and Lenovo ThinkPad E14. Now, you may be wondering that we already do have these two budget laptops. However, if you may note that the E15 and E14 variants we have currently are all Intel variants. Given the popularity of Ryzen-powered laptops in the market, it only makes sense for Lenovo to hop in on the hot trend.

The newly launched variants are powered by Ryzen 5000 series chipsets. Besides, they come with fast charging support. According to Lenovo, this fast charging tech can charge up the laptops up to 80 per cent in an hour. We also get fingerprint sensors on both the laptops alongside backlit keyboards. Here’s a quick rundown of all the details!

Lenovo ThinkPad E15, E14 Pricing & Availability

For now, only the European pricing of the two laptops are known. Going by that, we can draw a rough estimate of how much they will cost in India. The Lenovo ThinkPad E15 price starts at EUR 719. This converts to roughly around Rs. 60,500 in the Indian currency. Meanwhile, the ThinkPad E14 price starts at EUR 569. Now, this is approximately Rs. 47,850, making it the more affordable option of the two.

The availability details of the two laptops are currently not known. Lenovo has been rather silent about the details. However, we can assume that the laptops will gradually become available in all the regions like its predecessors.

Lenovo ThinkPad E15, E14 Specifications

Starting off with the E15 G4, the laptop comes with a 15.6-inch IPS LCD full-HD+ display. In addition, the display offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, there is an AMD Ryzen 3 5425U chipset. This chipset is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of NVMe SSD. As for graphics, you get the integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega 6 graphics card. There is a higher Ryzen 7 5825U variant as well which offers the AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 graphics card. Everything else remains the same.

Further, the Lenovo ThinkPad E15 G4 offers a FHD IR webcam with a privacy shutter. There is a dual microphone setup alongside a dual 2W Harman Kardon tuned speaker. These speakers are also backed by Dolby audio for an immersive audio experience. You get a backlit keyboard with trackstick along with a fingerprint sensor for security.

The Lenovo ThinkPad E14 G4 comes with a smaller 14-inch IPS LCD display. It offers the same resolution as the E15 G4. On the processor front, the laptop is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 5625U chipset. Besides, the chipset pairs up with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD. The laptop comes with RapidCharge technology as well. This tech claims to charge up the laptop to around 80 per cent in an hour. According to Lenovo, the laptop can deliver up to 15.8 hours of backup on a single charge. This tech is available on the E15 G4 as well.

Other similar specs between the two include a USB Type-C port, an HDMI socket, an RJ-45 connector, and a 3.5mm jack. Moreover, the laptops also offer dual band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.2 for connectivity.
