MediaTek is planning on releasing their next-gen flagship chipset very soon, from the looks of it now. Last month, the MediaTek Dimensity 2000 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipsets surfaced online. We got a quick look at the specifications of the two chipsets. Now, something of major importance has popped up regarding the Dimensity 2000.

The chipset’s AnTuTu benchmark score has now surfaced online ahead of launch. These are definitely not your run-off-the-mill flagship grade scores. Rather, it is definitely something more and goes to show that the future of chipsets is indeed brighter than it already is.

Digital Chat Station reports that the MediaTek Dimensity 2000 has managed to score over a million on AnTuTu. To be precise, the chipset has scored a whopping 1,002,220 points. Further, the noted tipster reports that the chipset was tested using a Vivo device. So, maybe a Vivo device being powered by this chipset is in the works?

As per the DCS listing, we can see that the chipset carries the codename MT6983. Meanwhile, the Vivo device is was powering comes with the model number V2184. As per the previous specs leak of the chipset, the MediaTek Dimensity 2000 may even be a tad bit more superior to the Snapdragon 898 SoC. This is because of the chipset using TSMC 4nm node. On the other hand, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 will be using Samsung’s 4nm node.

From the looks of it, the MediaTek Dimensity 2000 will indeed change the future of flagship grade smartphones. The chipset will indeed take the performance of flagship smartphones to a whole new level. Hitting over a 1,000,000 is definitely impressive and we can’t wait to test the chipset in reality when it comes out.
