Apple is now offering App Store gift cards on Amazon in India. The gift cards come in a variety of denominations and can be used to purchase apps in the Apple App Store, games in Apple Arcade, Apple Music and Apple TV+ subscriptions, as well as books and audiobooks from Apple Books.

Gift cards for the App Store can be purchased in denominations of Rs. 200, Rs. 500, Rs. 1,000, Rs. 2,000, and Rs. 5,000. People can use gift cards to buy apps, games, books, and subscriptions without having to use a debit or credit card. It can be used to purchase items and services from the iTunes Store and to pay for an iCloud membership. Customers can also purchase gift cards through Amazon using the cash on delivery payment method; and then use that gift card on the App Store, removing the requirement for a debit or credit card.

The tech giant, on the other hand, specifies on its dedicated gift card page that gift cards purchased through Amazon India are exclusively eligible for purchases in the Indian App Store. These gift cards are not redeemable for cash, resale, or shipments outside of India, according to the San Jose-based firm, and no refunds or exchanges are available.

Although there was no official statement as to when Apple Gift cards would be available in India; this move will make it even easier for anyone to buy apps and games or give them as gifts. In related news, Apple was able to establish itself as the number one smartphone maker in the Chinese market in October thanks to the success of the iPhone 13. According to the most recent Counterpoint data, iPhone sales in China surged 46 per cent in the last month.
