OnePlus is preparing to launch its first foldable smartphone called the OnePlus Open. A previous leak suggested the phone will launch on October 19. Recently, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma was spotted using the OnePlus Open ahead of its official launch. The Indian actress was flaunting the device to the paparazzi in a new video.

In a video posted by celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani, the actress is holding the OnePlus Open and revealing the huge camera island of the phone. Anushka further goes on to unfold the device, showcasing the entire design of the OnePlus Open.

The screen of the device remains off during the video, leading some to speculate whether it’s a well-thought-out marketing stunt. The large camera island on the back corresponds with the leaked design previously showcased by tipster OnLeaks.
OnePlus Open Expected Specifications
The OnePlus Open could sport a 7.82-inch AMOLED panel with a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Similarly, the inner screen will have a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor will power the phone paired with up to 16GB of RAM. Furthermore, it will run on Oxygen OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box and ship with 256GB of internal storage.
The triple-camera setup on the back will feature a 48-megapixel primary, 48-megapixel ultrawide and a 64-megapixel periscope lens. Like the previous OnePlus flagships, it will have Hasselblad branding on the camera. Moreover, it will have two 32-megapixel cameras on the front for taking selfies.

A 4,700mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging backs all of this. The phone will follow a similar design to the Google Pixel Fold or the Oppo Find N2 instead of the narrow design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. It was previously rumoured to launch in August, but the launch was pushed back due to a change in the display manufacturer.
