Samsung Galaxy A22 4G and 5G variants have launched in European markets on June 4. It comes as the latest addition to the A-series budget-friendly smartphones lineup. However, both these devices have quite a few differences in terms of specifications. This is unusual considering they are 5G and 4G variants of the same device. The 4G variant comes as a successor to the Galaxy A21s that launched last year. Whereas, Galaxy A22 5G should theoretically be an advanced version of the Galaxy A22 4G.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G and Galaxy A22 4G Prices
The 5G variant is available at a price of EUR 229 (approximately Rs 20,252) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. It will also be available in 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB configurations. However, the company has not confirmed the prices for the latter as of yet. The phone will go on sale in the European markets from the beginning of July.

Just like Samsung Galaxy A22 5G, Galaxy A22 4G price and availability details haven’t been announced yet. However, the company did reveal that the Galaxy A22 4G will be available in 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, and 6GB+128GB configurations.
Galaxy A22 4G Specifications
Galaxy A22 4G features a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a notch for the selfie camera.
Under the hood, it carries an unnamed octa-core SoC said to be a MediaTek Helio G80. The phone comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
In terms of optics, the phone has a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera also has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Furthermore, the screen has a U-shaped notch at the top that houses a 13MP selfie camera.

The Galaxy A22 4G has a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging speed. The phone has support for the 4G network. While Samsung is yet to announce other connectivity options, we are expecting the phone to pack dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. For privacy and security, you get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G features a 6.6-inch full-HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it has a notch for the selfie camera.
The phone is powered by an unnamed octa-core SoC, which is believed to be MediaTek Dimensity 700. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. In addition, it can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 1TB).
As for the rear camera setup, the Galaxy A22 5G has a 48MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth camera. Meanwhile, for the front camera, you get an 8MP sensor for selfies.
The Galaxy A22 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging. The phone, as its name suggests has support for the 5G network. Other connectivity options haven’t been announced but we are guessing that it has dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
