OnePlus has recently announced through its newly created Instagram account that OnePlus Nord will be available for pre-orders in India soon. The device has already gone for limited pre-orders in the UK and other European markets. However, it has not been initiated for pre-orders in India but a OnePlus microsite has been created on the Amazon India site which has a “Notify Me” option which will provide updates to customers.
The company released 100 units for its first pre orders round in the UK and some of the European markets on Wednesday and according to the company, the stock was sold out in less than a second. The device is going to make its debut in India and Europe later this month, as announced by the company. However, the details about the pre orders in India are yet to be announced.

OnePlus, Co-Founder and Global Head, Carl Pei has released it through his official Twitter account that why the company chose its new smartphone to be named as the OnePlus Nord. He said “It comes from the concept of true north. We each have this inner compass that guides us. This product line reminds us to always search for our true north, and we hope it will keep reminding you of yours.” This idea and the selection of words do excite us to have the device as soon as it can be. OnePlus NORD price is expected to be under $500 (around Rs. 37,800).
OnePlus NORD went up for blind pre-orders on July 1 globally and in less than a second, it was all sold out. Round 2 of the pre-orders is coming on July 8. OnePlus is happy to start with new beginnings which they announced via the Instagram stories that the pre-orders for India will be live soon.

Coming to the specifications, the OnePlus Nord will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. It is also rumoured to have a dual selfie camera and quad rear cameras and can be available in up to 12GB RAM variant. OnePlus NORD is going to be the first model in the company’s newly created “affordable smartphone line”. OnePlus is also claimed to expand its lineup in different marks in future.
