OPPO has recently released the newest addition to its Reno series of smartphones, the OPPO Reno5 Pro. Equipped with a 6.55-inch OLED screen, a quad-camera setup, and a huge battery to go with it all. The phone will be competing against the likes of OnePlus 8T, Mi 10 and Mi 10T or Mi 10T Pro to name a few. Available in four colors, this phone comes in 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB variants.

OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G is priced in India at Rs.35,990 for the single variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It is one of the most affordable 5G phone and comes packed with numerous camera features.

OPPO Reno5 Pro has a glass front and back with an aluminium frame which makes the look and feel of the device very premium. On the back of the device, we have the quad-camera setup with the LED flash. On the front of the device, we have the 6.55-inch OLED screen with a punch hole cut out for the front camera. We have the power button on the right side of the device and on the left side of the device, we have the volume buttons. On the bottom of the device, we have the headphone jack, the primary microphone, a USB Type-C port, and the loudspeaker.

The device weighs in at 173g and is 7.6mm thick. OPPO Reno5 Pro is offered in Starry Night, Aurora Blue, Moonlight Black, and Star Wish Red.

OPPO Reno5 Pro is rocking a 6.55-inch OLED screen with 1080 by 2400 pixel resolution. The aspect ratio on this screen is 20:9 and has a pixel density of 402ppi. There is an 88.6% screen-to-body ratio. There is a punch hole cut out for the front camera and there is the presence of an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.

Inside the OPPO Reno5 Pro, there is a Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ processor which is an octa-core processor built on the 7nm process. This processor can clock up to 2.6GHz. The Oppo F17 is available in storage option of 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage and RAM of either 8GB or 12GB respectively. The storage cannot be expanded but the onboard storage should be more than enough.

OPPO Reno5 Pro runs on Android 11 with Oppo’s own ColorOS 11.1 custom skin on top of it.

OPPO Reno5 Pro is having a quad-camera setup at the back and a single front camera. The quad-camera setup consists of a 64MP main sensor with PDAF, an 8MP ultrawide sensor with 119˚ of field-of-view, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera has features like the LED flash, HDR, and panorama built-in. The video output is rated at 4K at 30fps.

The front camera is a 32MP wide sensor with support for HDR. The video output through this camera is 1080p at 30fps.

OPPO Reno5 Pro is powered by a huge 4350mAh Li-Po battery with support for up to 65W of fast charging dubbed by OPPO as the Support SuperVOOC 2.0. There is 4 hours of battery life advertised on just 5 minutes of charging which indicates that the charging mechanism is actually quite fast.

OPPO Reno5 Pro is a very attractive smartphone due to both its looks and its specifications. This is one of the first phones to feature a Mediatek processor in the flagship segment.
